Has anyone used L2up-host servers? Are they safe against large DDoS attacks? I had some problems with machines hosted in the US, and I’m looking for a new company. I’d like some feedback, since there isn’t much information on their website.

Almost all major RU servers use it at startup L2up, the EU market is hyperfilter, Brazilians have their own services

If you can set everything up and run it yourself, as well as manage the server in general, then it's better to find a hosting service.
If you don't have any knowledge in this area, then yes, it makes sense to order from them.
Otherwise, they're just regular hosting resellers Hetzner.

OVH has the best infrastructure that you can afford, with several proxies and tuning, nothing can beat it. If you can't build your own stuff, use something ready-to-go but overpriced such as HyperFilter (highly unstable sometimes though).

OVH dedicated - good ddos protection, decent infrastructure, one-click-setup etc. but it requires knowledge to setup.
And for proxy servers you can use any host in the world - ovh / azure / aws / Vultr
Depending where your players are.
