Anyone knows how to fix when u pursuit another player and u get close, but u cant hit or use skill even though it's within the distance?

2 characters, running,
char 1 chase char 2 and try to: hit make meele dmg or skills
meele skills and phys attack if i am not mistaken is range 40.
follow range , if i am correct is range 100.
(i think i have seen this somewhere in datapack)
so when you follow to attack the following char 2 sticks behind char 1 on infinite loop-follow,
you can only hit if char that is following , has a lot more speed than char that is being chased
P.S.: i only give better example for our friend. i have NOT tested in lucera.
i know follow and attack is defferent actions but have seen this on other servers too
